ISSUE: SAGE 300 WORKSTATION WINDOWS INSTALLER POP-UP

When deployed in a load balanced Citrix environment, whenever the application is launched for the first time, a Windows Installer dialog pops up, seemingly repairing something. Due to the load balancing, the user can see this window several times.

(Please wait while Windows configures Sage Accpac Intelligence 6.0 Workstation) The pop-up will run through and then the application will be launched as normal. The screen does not appear when logging in as an administrator or if it has successfully run through for a specific icon previously. When deploying the MSI on a single machine, no such window appears.

RESOLUTION/WORKAROUND:

In the registry settings, check the machine policy, if it is set as follows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\DisableMSI = 0 It will need to be changed to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\DisableMSI = 2 This will resolve this issue.
