How to: Disable User Account Control (UAC) in Windows 7

There are two methods which you may use to disable User Account Control in Windows 7.


Method 1:


1. Click Start

2. In the Start Search box, type msconfig and press Enter

3. UAC may ask you to give Windows permission to continue. Click Continue

4. The System Configuration tool opens

5. Select the Tools tab and scroll to the bottom of the list

6. Click Change UAC settings, then click Launch

7. Select "Never Notify" then OK

8. You will then need to reboot your machine for the changes to take effect


Method 2:


1. Click on Start

2. Click on Control Panel (you may switch to large or small icons to see all options)

3. Select User Accounts

4. UAC may ask you to grant Windows permission to continue. Click Continue

5. Click on Change User Account Settings

6. UAC may again ask you to grant Windows permission to continue. Click Continue

7. Select "Never Notify" then OK

8. You will then need to reboot your machine for the changes to take effect
