Cause

Corrupted sqlceoledb35.dll file


Resolution

  • In Add/Remove Programs, uninstall any Sage Intelligence (SI) hotfixes that were installed in attempt to fix this issue.
  • Delete the file ALUNISQL.dll from the SI installation folder and repair SI so that it has the default file back in place.
  • Locate this file. C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v3.5\sqlceoledb35.dll or if using 64-bit machine go to C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v3.5\sqlceoledb35.dll
  • Right click on sqlceoledb35.dll file and select Open With, Choose default program
  • Click Browse button
  • Browse to C:\Windows\System32\regsvr32.exe or if using 64-bit machine, browse to C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\regsvr32.exe
  • Click Open then click Ok
  • Click Ok to the prompt the file was successfully registered
